Yep, I did this too. Another thing I did was to take notes when I read the textbooks (brief outline) so that when I go back and study, it is easy for me to recall what I need to review.

In all of my years – this has been my practice, and it carries through right to my job. In my humble opinion, this is a key differentiator between successful collaboration and direction (expressed as learning in the classroom; or successful initiatives in work), and failure. Well written!

How do you keep your notes? In looseleaf that you can easily re-inert back into a binder? I’m using a Moleskine cahier, as I don’t like to carry a big binder with me, but revising my notes doesn’t go easily in that sort of bound book format.
